In celebration of National Foster Family Week which took place from October 20-27 this year, Highland Shores Children’s Aid (HSCA) recognized their foster and kin families as well as their volunteers.
On October 17, a recognition dinner was held at Occasions by the Bay in Trenton for foster and kin parents as well as volunteers from Northumberland, South Hastings and Prince Edward counties. Foster parent Anne Dafoe from Hastings County was presented with the Board of Directors Award.
A recognition dinner was also held on October 25 at the Curling Club in Bancroft to recognize the dedication and commitment of foster and kin parents as well as volunteers from North Hastings.
