Belleville council could take another step toward a bicycling route running from the west end of the city right up to the back door of Loyalist College at its meeting Monday afternoon.
Staff is asking council to allow negotiations to begin to acquire some property to make the route feasibile.
The route involves paths on Palmer Road, Harder Drive, Avondale Road and Meagher Place with an off-road path west to Avonlough Road.
The company Dewal Holdings owns a small piece of property along the proposed cycling route and the city would need to hold talks to acquire it.
Belleville council meets at 4 o’clock at city hall.
