It’s “Go Purple Day” throughout our listening area tomorrow (Thursday).
On a day every October in honour of Child Abuse Prevention Month people are asked to wear purple clothing
as a show of support for efforts being made to curtail child abuse across the province.
Locally, The Children’s Foundation, the charitable organization of Highland Shores Children’s Aid Society which serves
Hastings, Prince Edward and Northumberland counties, has been running special events to bring awareness to the problems
of child sexual and other abuse in the area.
Call The Children’s Foundation at 613-962-9292 ext. 2391 for more information or to purchase “Go Purple” items.
