Brandon Brazeau made an impression in his Wellington Dukes debut this weekend.
Brazeau broke a 1-1 tie with 4 seconds left in the third period to give the Dukes a 2-1 win in Lindsay.
The victory pushed Wellington back into a first place tie with Trenton in the OJHL East with two games in hand.
While the score doesn’t show it Wellington dominated the game outshooting Lindsay 44-15 but Fish goalie Dean Buckholz held his team in it. Dawson Ellis also scored in the win.
It’s a first place showdown Friday night at the “Dunc” when Wellington visits Trenton.
In Junior “C” the Napanee Raiders routed Campbellford 11-1.
Bailey Matthews with 4 goals and Brodie Maracle with a goal and 4 assists for Napanee as they improve to 11-0-0-1.
Logan White and Evan Foley added a pair.
Khaden Henry scored 3 goals with two assists to power the Picton Pirates over Little Britain 6-4.
Will Harrison added a goal and 3 assists.
In the Greater Metro Junior “A” League Ottawa defeated the Northumberland Stars 6-5 in overtime. Joshua Hall with a pair for Northumberland.
