A Stirling-Rawdon councillor criticized for her behavior on council will have a chance to respond to the findings against her that were leveled against her by a municipal Integrity Commissioner on October 15.
The Integrity Commissioner found that councillor Sari Watson acted unreasonably toward senior staff and other members of council and broke council’s own Code of Conduct on several occasions.
However Watson and several others in the community have said the Integrity Commissioner ran a biased and incomplete investigation and didn’t notify the councillor of the complaints in order for her to respond to them.
Watson says complaints made against the other councillors regarding their malicious behavior toward her weren’t considered or included in his report.
After a closed meeting of council it was decided more information would be given to the Commissioner and that Watson would be given a chance to respond in writing.
The Integrity Commissioner is expected to present an updated report on the issue at a meeting November 18.
