Brighton council will consider whether or not to investigate the feasibility of owning and maintaining a historic railway station in the town at its meeting Monday.
What is now known as “Memory Junction” is one of the last original Grand Trunk Railway stations in existence.
It was an active station from 1857 until closing in 1962.
Council will consider asking for an estimated cost to buy, maintain, and preserve Memory Junction.
It’s hoped that in the future, trains will again make regular stops in Brighton.
