Belleville police are asking for the public’s help after a single vehicle collision on Harriet Street last night (Thursday) around 10:30.
Police say the vehicle involved was stolen and the driver ran away on foot.
According to scanner monitor Scan-Quinte’s Twitter feed, the vehicle hit a residential structure on Harriet Street and the OPP’s canine unit was brought in to search.
Meanwhile, early yesterday afternoon police investigated a break-in on Belleville’s east side where a front door was forced and jewellery, a safe and many other items were stolen.
Anyone with information on either incident should contact Belleville police or Quinte Crime Stoppers.
