Prince Edward County will be holding a public meeting early next month to get feedback on proposed changes to building fees in The County.
The proposal would see an additional $2 added per square metre for new construction projects, an additional occupancy permit fee of $50, an increase of $1 per square metre for renovations to existing buildings and an increase to $600 from $300 for the septic permit fee.
The County says the increases are needed to keep pace with the growth in construction activity and to make sure the municipality meets the standards outlined in the Ontario Building Code.
The meeting will be held on Thursday November 7, at 1:00 p.m., at Shire Hall.
