Bancroft man charged with committing indecent act
A Bancroft man has been charged after reports of an indecent act on Old L’Amable Road last weekend.
Police didn’t release much information about the incident, but say they were told about it around 6:45 p.m. last Saturday and that charges have been laid.
Thirty-six-year-old Darcy Stone is charged with committing an indecent act and breaching probation.
He is scheduled to appear in court on November 26.
Bancroft OPP wrap up fall seat belt campaign and Operation Impact
Bancroft OPP wrapped up the fall seatbelt campaign over the long weekend, culminating with Operation Impact.
Officers were looking for seatbelt violations specifically, but also looking for Big Four offences, including speeding, stunt driving, impaired driving and distracted driving.
During Operation Impact Bancroft officers charged 39 drivers for speeding, one for stunt driving, two with seatbelt offences, one for distracted driving and seven moving violations.
OPP say even though the campaign is over that doesn’t mean they’ll stop watching for drivers who are breaking the rules of the road.
