A 46-year-old Belleville man faces an assault with a weapon charge after his girlfriend claimed she’d been hit in the head with a cutting board during an argument last night (Sunday).
She was treated at Belleville General Hospital for a cut to her head. The incident occurred around 9 o’clock.
The man charged will not be identified to protect the identity of the victim. He is in court November 4.
