Cobourg police are investigating a sexual assault in the town early yesterday (Sunday) morning.
Police say a man walked up to a woman at 5 o’clock in the morning in the area of Sutherland Drive in Cobourg and produced a weapon and proceeded to sexually assault a woman.
The victim was able to run away and was treated at hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The man is described as being Caucasian, in his 60s, with a scruffy appearance, 6 feet tall, with a thin build and grey shaggy hair.
