It’s that time of the year again.
The Trent-Severn Waterway lockstations will officially close for the season on October 14 following the Thanksgiving long weekend.
Parks Canada encourages the public to use caution in and around the waterway over the winter months as the lock stations will be closed until the end of May and use of the waterway will be at one’s own risk.
Water levels will also be decreased throughout the Haliburton Lakes area.
There are 44 lock stations between Trenton and Port Severn along the waterway.
