Jim Pine says even though he’s taking on a new role as an advisor to the Provincial Ministry of Health, he’ll be staying on as the CAO of Hastings County.
Deputy Premier and Minister of Health Christine Elliott announced Thursday that Pine has been contracted to lead consultations on proposed changes to how health services are delivered.
Pine tells Quinte News the role involves a broad look at various aspects of the public health sector.
Pine says the consultation will get going in the next few weeks.
He says a consultation guide is being worked on right now and as soon as that is complete, the province-wide process will get started.
Pine has spent more than 35 years working in regional and municipal government roles, with time earlier in his career spent working for the Ministry of Municipal Affairs as well.
