The Stirling-Rawdon native and member of Stirling-Rawdon Council says while the environment is the backbone of the Green Party platform, it’s not the only thing the party is focused on.
She says naturally her party has a plan to help the environment, but also a strong vision to help people and the economy, by ending corporate handouts.
Watson says since most people are aware of the party’s environmental commitments, her campaign plan has been to talk about the other things the Greens would do if elected.
She adds it’s also important to tap into the trillion dollar “green sector” to improve the business climate and to move away from reliance on the oil sector.
