Two people who were stranded in the tundra were rescued this afternoon (Thursday).
A CC-130H Hercules from 8 Wing Trenton was involved in the rescue 400 kms northwest of Hearst, Ontario after their hot air balloon overshot their destination.
The pair were in a hot air balloon race from Albuquerque, New Mexico to Duluuth, Minnestoa.
The duo had both survival gear and food onboard noted the SAR techs.
