Two Prince Edward County men who saved the life of a Hallowell man in the summer will be presented with recognition awards at Shire Hall tonight.
Brad Osborne and Greg Yaworski will receive their awards at the start of Prince Edward County’s regular council meeting.
The two men noticed smoke on Gilead Road after making a delivery for work on August 15 and went to investigate.
They discovered a home on fire and managed to get a dog and the occupant, who was sleeping at the time, out of the residence.
Prince Edward County Fire and Rescue Chief Scott Manlow said at the time, their vigilant actions and quick thinking quite likely saved a life.
Council meets at 7 p.m.
