The Trenton Golden Hawks have moved back into first place in the OJHL’s East Division.
Jared Gerger snapped a 2-2 tie late in the second period as Trenton defeated the Fury 4-2 in Whitby. Griffin Fox scored a goal and two assists with Samuel Duchesne and Matt Nastasiuk also scoring for the Golden Hawks who move one point ahead of Wellington.
Trenton is in Lindsay Friday night.
The Dukes lost 4-2 in Brantford.
Jacob Vreugdenhil and Barrett Joynt scored for Wellington. Matthew Dunsmoor kept Wellington in the game as they were outshot 47-31. Wellington hosts North York in a rare Thursday nighthome game.
In Junior “C” hockey, Evan Foley scored twice to lead the Napanee Raiders over Little Britain 4-2. Foley has 8 goals and 15 points in 8 games, all Napanee victories.
Port Perry shaded the Picton Pirates 3-2. Owen Dever and Garison Moore scored in the loss. Picton’s record evens out at 4-4.
And in the Greater Metro League the Bancroft Rockhouds beat the Northumberland Stars 7-4.
