The Belleville Senators will get more offensive punch in their line-up as they prepare for their home opener this coming Friday.
Forwards Drake Batherson and Filip Chlapik have been returned to the AHL from Ottawa.
Batherson played in both of Ottawa’s losses to start the season, without registering a point. He had a minus-four rating and two penalty minutes.
Meanwhile, Chlapik only played in one of Ottawa’s first two games, registering an assist, with two penalty minutes and a plus-one rating.
Ottawa doesn’t play again until Thursday and will require at least one player to be called up from the B-Sens before then.
Belleville will play its home opener at CAA Arena on Friday, as they welcome the Binghamton Devils for a 7:00 p.m. puck drop.
Festivities begin at 4:00 p.m. Friday with the free CAA Fan Fest at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre.
