Belleville Police responded to 93 calls for service from 5 a.m. on Oct 4, 2019 to 5 a.m. on October 5, 2019.
Theft
On October 4, 2019 at 11:50 a.m., officers attended at an address on John St. and spoke to a woman in regards to a break and enter. Officers received information that somebody had broken into her residence and stolen her speaker. She then received a message that the suspect had it and it would cost her money to get it back. Further information indicated that it may have been an ex-boyfriend. The investigation is continuing.
Recovered Stolen Property
On Oct 4. 2019 at 12:10 p.m., officers attended a business on Roy Blvd. Upon arrival officers received information that a man had pawned a guitar that was stolen from Kingston. A positive match of serial numbers was made. Officers collected a receipt with a possible suspect’s name. The investigation is continuing to identify the suspect and possibly lay charges of possession of stolen property.
