Conversation on the environment and climate continues to dominate the local election campaign, and the NDP candidate for Bay of Quinte says that’s exactly how it should be.
Stephanie Bell got her chance to speak on the Lorne Brooker Show’s Meet the Candidates Series on Friday morning.
She says she’s always had an interest in being environmentally friendly, but the message needs to get out that doing the little things like recycling, won’t necessarily be enough to effect change.
Bell, who has grown up in the Quinte Region, says she’s running because she believes in diversity and she can relate to the daily grind that most Canadians face when it comes to making ends meet.
She also said she feels it’s important that the riding have at least one female candidate running and that younger people were represented on the ballot as well.
