Five people have been arrested on drug charges after multiple police forces searched two homes in the Quinte West area yesterday.
Quinte West OPP, the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, Belleville Police and Tyendinaga Police Service were all involved in the raids, with officers seizing cocaine, prohibited weapons and Canadian cash.
Twenty-four-year-old Joseph Cassibo, 19-year-old Amy Hawke, 49-year-old Jason Lamont, 41-year-old Sabrina Scardino and 24-year-old Catherine Seguin, all of Quinte West, are charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of proberty obtained by crime and possession of a prohibited weapon.
All of the accused, except Cassibo, are scheduled to appear in court on November 18.
Cassibo was held for a bail hearing in Belleville Court today.
