Two students from the First Nations Technological Institute on the Tyendinaga Territory have won aviation scholarships.
Doris Ipeelee of Nunavut and Zoie Michelin of Newfoundland and Labrador were awarded the scholarships through the Jazz Aviation and Northern Lights Indspire Bursary.
The bursary was handed out at the 11th Annual Elsie MacGill Northern Lights Gala, supporting and promoting women in the fields of aviation business, education, engineering, flight operations, government and more.
Both Ipeelee and Michelin are students in the First Peoples’ Aviation Technology course at FNTI.
