About $50,000 damage was done in an explosion and fire in Centre Hastings very early this morning (Sunday).
Reports indicate neighbours heard an explosion a few minutes after midnight at a house at 1469 Sills Road north of Moira Road.
Centre Hastings firefighters arrived to find a large shed fully engulfed in flames at the rear of a house.
The home’s residents were not injured.
The shed was destroyed along with tools, a riding mower and honey making equipment.
The cause is undetermined at this time.
