The Belleville Police Service responded to 64 calls between September 24, 2019 at 5 a.m. and September 25, 2019 at 5 a.m.
Traffic charges
On September 24, 2019 at 4 p.m., Belleville Police conducted a vehicle stop on Bell Boulevard. Further investigation revealed that the driver did not have a licence and that the licence plates attached to the vehicle were not registered to it. As a result, the 41-year-old Belleville resident was charged and given a traffic court date.
Strange behavior
On September 24, 2019, Belleville Police received multiple calls throughout the morning regarding a male who was observed entering backyards of residences in the west end of the city. While in the backyards the male would cause minor mischief and exhibit strange behavior. The 49-year-old male was eventually located and brought to the hospital for a medical assessment.
