The MP for Hastings-Lennox and Addington is proud of his government’s plan to combat global warming.
Appearing on CJBQ’s Lorne Brooker Show, liberal Mike Bossio said a lot of countries are looking to Canada for ideas as the government offers a multi-faceted approach to reducing carbon emissions.
Bossio said that 8 out of 10 Canadians would benefit from the federal carbon tax, not be penalized, after receiving rebates from the government.
Meanwhile, Bossio is disappointed in the recent revelations that Prime Minister Trudeau had worn brown or blackface makeup years ago at costume-themed events.
Bossio said everyone makes mistakes and the Prime Minister immediately and sincerely apologized.
Bossio said the Prime Minister is definitely not a racist.
Mike Bossio was raised in Madoc, schooled in Toronto, and spent about 35 years as a high tech recruiter. He has served on Tyendinaga Township council in the past. He is married with 2 grown children and lives in Lonsdale.
