A Quinte West man won’t be spending any time in jail after being found guilty of theft under $5,000 and weapons charges.
However Richard Adriaans, 27 at the time of his arrest, will spend 12 months on probation and is prohibited from possessing weapons for 10 years.
Adriaans was arrested early last June after two shoplifting incidents in Trenton. In one of them, a weapon was brandished and in another a suspect was seen riding away on a bicycle.
There were no injuries in either incident.
