Quinte Health Care is having some phone issues this morning.
Director of Communications Catherine Walker says QHC is having trouble taking incoming calls through its main phone system and its Information Systems Department is working on restoring service.
For now, incoming calls to the main QHC line are being answered by cell phone, via the switchboard operators at Belleville General Hospital and Trenton Memorial Hospital, but to alleviate some of the call volume, QHC is posting back-up numbers for North Hastings Hospital (613-202-2022 or 613-332-8872) and Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital (613-847-6974).
Walker says fax machines are not affected, so any requisitions coming from doctors’ officers are being received and they’ll put out an update when the situation is resolved.
