Enrolment in elementary and secondary schools in the Hastings Prince Edward District School Board haven’t changed much.
The most recent enrolment figures show a total of 10,382 students will attend elementary schools while 4,460 students will fill classrooms at local high schools.
Both totals are slightly below what staff had projected.
Meanwhile, two new elementary school classes will be added this year to meet new class size requirements and four new early childhood educators will be employed because of an increase in kindergarten enrolment.
