Theft
On September 22, 2019 at approximately 5:15 p.m., police were called to a north end business regarding a shoplifter. The male left the store but was followed on foot by loss prevention staff until officers arrived to effect the arrest. Further investigation revealed the male had multiple probation orders in place as well. Twenty-four-year-old Joe McDonald of Belleville was charged with theft under $5000 and three breaches of probation. He was later released on a promise to appear with a court date of October 24, 2019.
