There was a big fire at a Cobourg area business yesterday (Saturday) afternoon.
According to Today’s Northumberland, thick black smoke could be seen billowing up from Murphy Paving on Jarvis Road at the end of Elgin Street East.
Several structures burned down and a backhoe was destroyed, however most equipment was saved from damage.
Over half a million dollars damage was done.
There were no injuries and the cause remains under investigation.
