The Napanee Raiders were party poopers last night.
Aiden McFarland scored twice to lead the Raiders over the Pirates 4-2 in Picton’s Junior “C” hockey home opener.
Curtis Marrison and Evan Foley added singles in the win. Khaden Henry and Griffen Conger scored for Picton.
Napanee is 2-0. They’re home to Port Hope tonight (Friday) at 7:30.
In Junior “A” tonight the Trenton Golden Hawks go after a 5th straight win as they host Cobourg. Wellington entertains Whitby. Both teams have 4-1 OJHL records. Game time is 7:30.
High School Football season kicks off
The Bay of Quinte high school football season kicks off today with senior-junior double headers at Trenton High and Centennial Secondary schools.
At 1 o’clock the senior Tigers host the Centre Hastings Centurions while the Chargers are home to Eastside Secondary. The junior games will follow at 3. The Trenton Junior Tigers host the Bayside Red Devils while the Ravens meet the Chargrs.
