A Quinte region effort continues to have changes made to how water flows in great lakes Erie and Ontario, the Bay of Quinte and St. Lawrence River are handled.
On Tuesday morning the mayors of Quinte West, Belleville, Brighton and Prince Edward County will issue a joint statement asking the International Joint Commission to take action to change water control systems.
As Quinte West Mayor Jim Harrison tells Quinte News, high water levels have hurt people and their property a lot.
There are predictions that water levels next spring could go much higher than they did this year.
The mayors will hold a press conference Tuesday morning at 10:30 at Quinte West city hall.
