Should Belleville council approve, a 20-year-old aerial ladder fire truck will benefit firefighters from far and wide.
Belleville’s Fire Chief Mark MacDonald is recommending the veteran vehicle be donated to the Hastings and Prince Edward Fire Training Centre.
The city’s fire department recently took delivery of a new aerial ladder truck.
Firefighters from throughout the Quinte region and some from outside the area come to the Trenton training centre to learn and update their skills.
Belleville council meets this coming Monday afternoon at city hall.
