There was a strange and disturbing scene along the Moira River in downtown Belleville yesterday morning (Thursday).
Police, firefighters, and paramedics responded to the river after a naked man jumped into the river around 10 o’clock.
He was pulled from the water and then taken to Belleville General Hospital for a mental health assessment.
There were no injuries.
