A young Belleville man will spend time in jail after being found guilty in the theft of firearms and ammunition two years ago.
Josh Morrison was charged in February of 2017 after a break and enter at a Thurlow ward residence.
Ammunition and nine firearms were stolen. He was 20 years old at the time of his arrest.
He was found guilty in Superior Court recently and given a 15 month jail sentence, 18 months probation, and will be banned from possessing weapons for 10 years.
Meanwhile, a Belleville woman will avoid jail time after being charged with impersonating a police officer and obstructing justice almost two years ago.
Rhonda Zielski, 50 years old at the time of her arrest, was charged in November of 2017 after posing as an officer and texting a witness in a legal proceeding.
Recently in Superior Court she was found guilty and given a six month conditional sentence, 18 months probation, and a five year weapons ban.
