As the Ottawa Senators begin to reduce their training camp roster that of the of the Belleville Senators grows. Five players were assigned to Belleville yesterday.
Forwards Chris Clapperton, Francois Beauchemin and Nathan Todd, and defencemen Jack Dougherty and Michael Brodzinski are Belleville bound. Ottawa will make further cuts following exhibition games this week.
Belleville’s training camp opens next Monday ahead of a pair of AHL exhibition games in Laval against the Rocket September 28th and 29th.
Belleville’s third season in the American Hockey League begins October 5th in Toronto against the Marlies. The B-Sens home opener is Friday October 11th when they host the Binghamton Devils. (New Jersey Devils)
