Quinte West council will be asked to support an application for millions of dollars in funding for three significant projects in the city at its meeting Monday.
Staff is suggesting council apply to the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Fund for money for a major extension of the Waterfront Trail, a renovation of Trenton Town Hall, and the installation of a synthetic turf field in Centennial Park.
In total, the projects are estimated to cost $9.6 million.
If approved, the federal and provincial governments would pay around 74% of the cost leaving local taxpayers picking up the rest.
