A well known local businessman and his wife have made very generous donations to improve healthcare for everyone in the Quinte region.
Recently the owners of Huff Estates Winery, Lanny and Catharine Huff, were recognized for their half a million dollar donation to the Belleville General Hospital Foundation.
Half of that total had already been donated and the other half will go toward the cost of buying two Spect CT cameras in Belleville General’s Nuclear Medicine Department.
Executive Director of the Foundation Steve Cook says the Huff’s recognize the importance of state of the art diagnostics that will allow cancer staging assessments to occur at BGH.
