Provincial Police have laid charges in connection to a massive crash on Highway 401 this summer, which killed a 29-year-old woman from Lennox and Addington County.
Elizabeth Morgan was killed in the crash on July 12 just east of Belleville which involved seven vehicles, including a tractor trailer and also led to serious injuries to at least three other people.
The crash closed the highway for almost 24 hours.
After gathering evidence from the scene, using information from the OPP’s collision reconstruction experts and enlisting the help of Montreal Police, investigators have charged 40-year-old Gurwinder Ghuman of Montreal with dangerous driving causing death.
He was arrested on Sunday and appeared for a bail hearing in Napanee Court on Monday (yesterday).
