Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the OPP are searching for a missing boater on Rice Lake.
A 60-year-old Toronto man was last seen on Thursday when he left for a boating trip on the lake.
A friend searched Rice Lake and found the missing man’s boat with no one around it.
OPP marine units from Northumberland and Peterborough County have begun searching the lake. Police are also using helicopters and underwater search and recovery units.
There is still no sign of the missing man. Police will continue to search the area.
