These are busy times for those in the Quinte region real estate industry.
According to the Quinte and District Association of Realtors the dollar sales of all property types last month
was up over 38% from August of last year, totalling almost $122 million.
Residential sales also jumped considerably increasing last month by close to 37% from August of 2018. Dollar sales in the residential category totalled close to $113 million last month.
So far this year dollar sales for residential units are up 14% from the same period in 2018.
And the upward trend in home prices continued in August with the average unit price being $370,000 compared to $328,000 last year.
That is an increase of 13%.
