Momentum continues to build when it comes to business and property owner interest in the City of Belleville’s downtown Facade Improvement Program.
At its meeting Monday city council will be asked to approve adding $75,000 from a reserve fund to boost this year’s facade program budget.
If council approves two new applications for funding at its Monday meeting, the budget of $85,000 will be close to being used up.
Meanwhile there are several more applications waiting in the wings with projects ready to go.
Under the program the city provides financial support of up to $20,000 for facade upgrades in the downtown.
