Highway 401 eastbound near Brighton has been closed to traffic after a chain reaction collision involving three tractor trailers.
The collision occurred around 12:30 this morning (Friday).
According to Today’s Northumberland, traffic had to slow down due to a construction zone around Brighton.
When that happened one transport rear ended another which led to another truck being hit.
One driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries while another suffered minor injuries.
A driver from Quebec was charged with careless driving.
None of the transports were carrying hazardous goods.
