Crews hauled a sunken older wooden 34-foot boat out of the water in Trenton yesterday (Monday) morning.
The boat sank after exploding immediately after filling up with gas at the Fraser Park Marina in the downtown Saturday August 31.
Five people were on board. At least four were burned and taken to hospital. Two, a father and his 5-year-old daughter, were taken to Kingston General while another two were treated at Trenton Memorial Hospital.
Two investigators from the Ontario Fire Marshal’s office, along with the OPP and the ministries of Environment and Labour, were on scene yesterday as an investigation into the incident continues.
