The Quinte Peewee Royals didn’t just host the Ontario Baseball Association championship tournament, they won it.
The Royals overcame a bump in the road to beat the South Bend Bears 10-0 in the second championship game. That was necessitated after Quinte lost the first game 19-8.
Coach Mark Abrams liked the way his team responded from the first loss.
This is the first OBA title in the 20 year history of the Quinte Royals baseball program. Abrams says it means a lot to his team and the organization.
