Belleville Police Service responded to 50 calls for service from August 27, 2019 at 5 a.m. to August 28, 2019 at 5 a.m.
Break and Enter
At 7 p.m. on August 27, police responded to a Wallbridge Cr. residence with regards to a break and enter that was reported to have happened between 7 a.m. and 12 p.m. Cash, cigarettes and a MacBook were reported stolen. The Belleville Police Service Forensic Identification Unit was called to examine the scene. A male suspect was described as being white, approximately 25 years old with several tattoos including star tattoos on the back of his neck. Theft from shed
At 7 a.m. on August 27, police received a report of a theft from a shed that occurred sometime overnight at an Alfred Dr. residence. Thieves took a leaf blower, a weed trimmer and a child’s scooter.
Public Intoxication
On August 28 shortly after 2 a.m., police were called to Palmer Rd. in relation to a disturbance call of a man yelling in the street. Upon arrival police located a 50-year-old Belleville male who was highly intoxicated and upset over the loss of his cell phone. The male was eventually arrested for public intoxication and taken to The Belleville Police Service where he was lodged in cells to be released in the morning on a provincial offence notice for public intoxication.
