More than 20 Belleville firefighters from stations three, four and five were dispatched to a report of a garage fire on Clearview Road in Belleville around 8 a.m., Saturday morning.
Firefighters arrived to find the attached garage full of black, heavy smoke particles, but luckily for the home owners there was no fire in progress.
Firefighters say there was evidence of a small fire but it self-extinguished.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but no one was injured and the cost of the damage will be evaluated.
