A lifelong love of horses and riding has taken a Belleville woman to the very top of the class.
Recently at the Canadian National Arabian and Half-Arabian Show in Brandon, Manitoba Marilynne Cotten took first place in the over 40 Hunter Pleasure division aboard her horse Show Me The Cash.
Marilynne, born and raised in the Quinte region, has been competing at various levels in equestrian events for some 25 years, the last five at the Nationals.
Getting to the Nationals is no easy feat and demands a lot of both the riders, the horses, and their families in terms of time, effort, and financial resources.
Marilynne is well known to many as she’s offered riding lessons and boarded horses at Whisper Winds Stables on Casey Road.
She is also known for her many years of dedicated service to the Belleville Agricultural Society.
