Some people will do whatever they can to evade police.  Unfortunately for one Prince Edward County man, his efforts just weren’t enough.
Prince Edward County OPP were called to a collision in South Marysburgh ward early Friday morning.
Officers located a grey hatchback in the ditch at the intersection of Bond Road and Maypul Layn (Maple lane) Road but no driver.
Police received a second call about a man who had gone to a nearby home asking for assistance and was now hiding in the bushes.
The OPP Emergency Response Team and Canine Units responded to the scene as the man fled further and through a cow pasture.
A third call was then received about a suspicious person on a front porch at a County Road 13 address.
The suspect was located and arrested.
Police say 23-year-old Jonathan William Wilcox rolled or crawled into cow manure while trying to evade police.
He is facing charges of refusal to comply with a demand, failure to stop after an accident, operation while prohibited, driving while under suspension, failure to report an accident, driving without a valid permit and failure to remain.
Wilcox will appear in Picton court on September 11.
His vehicle was also impounded for 45 days.
