There’s a lot of interest in seeing development on the east side of Brighton next to the No Frills/Tim Hortons operations.
At council’s planning committee Wednesday night, Mayor Brian Ostrander says councillors liked the general idea of having mixed residential and commercial but they also had concerns.
The owners of the 17-acre Craft Properties and representatives from the developer and seniors residence attended the meeting.
Brighton municipal staff will continue a dialogue with the stakeholders and a final recommendation regarding an Official Plan Amendment and zoning changes will be made to council in the future.
